24HRS In London

Bars, Restaurant & Shops Edition

Booked a last minute trip to rediscover London and to visit my mom -and it was nothing like I remembered! For many years, I have been anxiously waiting to return to London to visit the many places I've gathered from recommendations through Instagram, Magazines and close friends. You can imagine how thrilled I was to be back for the second time (about 12 years later) with complete fresh eyes.

I travelled from Bologna to London Heathrow Airport for a much anticipated 5 day trip! Looking back it wasn't enough time to rediscover and uncover all of London's gems but it was just enough time to give me the taste to want to come back sooner...and to spoil you with a shortlist of chic, luxurious and memorable recommendations for your next trip to London. So without further ado, here it is:

9:30 AM to 11:00 AM

Breakfast at SKETCH LONDON for the most Instagramable experience in wonderland (PS don't leave without visiting the bathrooms).

11:30 PM to 1:30 PM

Visit two of the most iconic and luxurious department stores HARVEY NICHOLS & HARRODS. Make sure to look at their accessory, clothing, beauty and shoe department as well as their food hall... You cannot leave Harrod's without trying their famous butter cookies. I love the ones with chocolate chip, mark my words, they are dangerous....

1:30 PM to 3:00 PM

Head over to THE SLOANE STREET DELI for a very tasty lunch. Their pad thai and dips were some of the best I've tried in a long time! Not to mention, the place is adorable!

3:15 PM to 5:30 PM

Shop around Sloane street. Some of my favorite places include:

FREE PEOPLE and many more...

5:45 PM to 6:45 PM

Get a coffee boost LVMH's most recent business venture and first ever London location, AIME LEON DORE. From the moment I walked into their coffee shop it was good vibes. Everyone working there was super friendly, cool and had their own unique personality reflected in their style. It was definitely one of my favorite pit stops in London and best spot to people watch... I ended up sitting there for 1 hour and discovered more about new fashion brands that I would have reading Hype Beast and Business of Fashion. After a coffee boost, make sure to check out their curated boutique (attached to the coffee shop). Then head to AXEL ARIGATO across the street for some of the coolest sneakers and check out their "Drop of the Week".

7:45 PM to 9:45 PM

Make sure to make reservations way in advance at THE IVY SOHO BRASSERIE . With it's playful decor, satisfying and delicious food as well as smokin' drinks (I mean literally smoking with fire), you are set to have an entertaining night!

12:00 AM and on

Head to CECCONI'S PIZZA BAR for an old school dance party (Friday & Sat night only) and the most entertaining Italian bartenders. I first discovered Cecconi's in LA and fell in love with their pizza and homemade gelato, so going back in London, brought back some good memories for me.

I'll be honest, it was quite difficult to curate this list of things to do in London considering the many amazing restaurants, bars, shops and sites that there are to see. There are so many other things I did this trip that I loved. Maybe in time, I will divulge them... For now, if you have any recommendations to share with me, I welcome them with open arms, as I sit here dreaming about my next trip to London.
